All About Near Sightedness – Myopia

Our eyes play a vital role in helping us survive in this world. The functioning of eyes is an amazing mechanism that helps you view the objects clearly. The light rays reflecting from the object passes through the cornea, the transparent window of our eye and falls on the retina. When this process is disturbed due to low focusing power of cornea or curved lens, Myopia occurs. Myopia also is known as near-sightedness is a disorder in which the entering light rays fall in front of the retina, instead of falling on its surface directly. This also happens when the eye is bigger than the normal size. When you can read from the book in your hand, but can’t read or see the objects at a distance, then you most certainly have near-sightedness (Myopia) . This condition is now common among people. The person suffering from Myopia will be able to see clearly the objects nearer to them and will have a blurry view of the objects far away. The patients may also have the following symptoms.
